We just had a last-minute opening at Camp Haus in Ely for March 20–22, and it lines up with the 2026 Ely Dark Sky Festival.

If you’ve been looking for a reason to get up north, this is a good one.

Here are a few events happening this weekend:

• Telescope viewing + guided stargazing
• Night sky photography class at the Ely Folk School
• Astronomy talks and workshops
• Night hikes + astrophotography
• Events centered around the spring equinox (Friday)

Ely is one of the darkest sky areas in the country, so if the weather cooperates, the stargazing & northern lights viewing is unreal.

“Emma's house was a great spot for us to hang out in Ely for 3 days. 4 bedrooms were fantastic with soft fresh linen and the bathrooms were spotless. Having the washer and dryer was handy to do a quick load of laundry. The kitchen had everything we needed and the porch was a nice area to unwind at the end of the day.

Worth the money and a great spot to stay in Ely.”
