There is, once again, some confusion with Google maps; they are showing that Hiway 224 is currently closed....
HIWAY 224 IS OPEN, THERE ARE NO CURRENT ROAD CLOSURES!
The photo is from a happy user yesterday (Friday, March 7th, 2025) and as you can see, there is no ice or snow currently on the trail.
