🚨 URGENT: Save Oregon’s Outdoor Access (Action Needed by 8 AM Tomorrow)

If you hike, ski, or camp in the PNW, we need your help RIGHT NOW.

Oregon’s liability laws are broken. They are closing trails and hurting the volunteer groups that keep our outdoors open. We have a chance to fix this, but the clock is ticking.

There are two bills in Salem: ✅ SUPPORT SB 1593: This is the balanced fix that protects everyone—from big resorts to small volunteer trail crews. ❌ OPPOSE SB 1517: This is a "corporate-only" band-aid that leaves local community programs behind.

The Deadline: The Senate hearing for the GOOD bill (SB 1593) is Tomorrow Morning (Feb 9) at 8:00 AM. We need to flood the committee with written support before they meet.

👉 TWO WAYS TO HELP (5 Minutes Total):

1. SUBMIT TESTIMONY (Urgent!): Click the link below to submit "Written Testimony" for SB 1593.

Select: "Support"

Message: "We need a liability fix that protects ALL outdoor recreation, not just the big guys." đź”— Bill Link: https://olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz/2026R1/Measures/Overview/SB1593 (Click "Submit Testimony" at the top right!)

2. EMAIL YOUR LEGISLATORS: Use this tool to find your local Rep & Senator and forward them your testimony! đź”— Find Your Rep: https://www.oregonlegislature.gov/FindYourLegislator/legislator-lookup.html

National Parks Are Better in the Off-Season:
National parks in peak season feel more like theme parks than wilderness. Crowds, lines, noise, and pressure to move fast take away from the experience. In the off-season, everything changes. Wildlife shows up. Trails breathe. The land feels alive again. Fewer people doesn’t mean less adventure, it means deeper connection. Would you agree? Do you camp in the off season?

✨ Breitenbush Lake: A Hidden Gem with a Mystical Vibe ✨

Nestled deep within the Cascade Mountains, Breitenbush Lake is a serene and sacred destination with a deep cultural significance to the Warm Springs people. The difficult 4x4 access road and location deep in the forest make this peaceful lake feel like you have stumbled upon something truly special. The 2020 Lions Head Fire drastically changed the landscape of the surrounding area which gives it an otherwordly feeling. Recreational activities such as swimming are limited due to restrictions enforced by the Warm Springs Reservation which helps maintain the beauty of this special place.

Would you tackle the 4x4 road to visit here?
