A happy first ever National Loon Day to you and yours!

Not only is today the first National Loon Day, but it’s also the 65th anniversary of the common loon becoming the Minnesota state bird.

We have a few loons that make Northwoods Camp their home. We can’t wait to hear their calls across Elbow Lake come this spring and summer.

Last month, a couple members of our Youth Department, who support our overnight youth camps, were able to attend the North American Camping Symposium. It was an amazing time of learning and connecting with like minded camp professionals, and we’re excited to implement what they learning into our upcoming season.

As a ministry of The Salvation Army, we exist to create environments where young people, families, and leaders can grow in faith, character, and community. From summer camp to retreats and leadership development weekends, Northwoods Camp is a place set apart for transformation.
