Wanna know what you missed on today’s full class upload?
A hamstring practice with an apex pose of hanumanasana/splits and more importantly, a message about one of my favorite words in the English language… DEVOTION. I continuously strive to find deeper meaning in this crazy life, and I’ve learned if you can identify what you’re most devoted to, you’ll naturally and simultaneously find your purpose. But more than that, today’s message revolved around staying committed to the things we care the most about…even when things get hard. Yep I’m a self-proclaimed “bailer”…the first sign of rough waters and I’m out, with proclamations like “wasn’t meant to be” 🤪 Anyone else running at the first sign of trouble? I see you.
Today’s practice and maybe my years’ biggest lesson is finding the grit, determination, and resilience to STAY versus looking for the path of least resistance. Things are not always smooth sailing. But if I’m to stay devoted to the things that I care the very most about (my person, my priority of family, my business, my spiritual practices and self care routines, etc), it’s important to dig deep and stay with it…
even when it’s hard,
even when it’s uncomfortable,
even when we’re challenged again and again…
bc guess what? The reward is SO MUCH sweeter when we honor the things nearest and dearest to our hearts by working for them.
Don’t get me wrong, easy is good. And sometimes things click on all cylinders and life feels effortless and aligned. But when there are bumps in the road, it’s time to double down on those people, projects, and causes that have our loyalty and devotion bc those are the things that give our lives the most meaning.
Oh! And you’ll also find me talking with my hands a lot…one student always out of the shot…some colonoscopy talk 🤦🏼♀️…students picking on each another…and some very cranky hamstrings…good times good times 😂😂😂
Maybe you want to add a health and wellness routine to your list of things you’re devoted to!! Today’s a good day to start taking better care of YOU 🙏🏼🩵✌🏼
