Opening weekend of dove was a little odd. A 1.5 inch rain Friday afternoon and evening made the birds very inactive. We still shot good numbers and had a great time. By Monday they were hitting waterholes hard again.

This would be a great opportunity for someone who wanted an outdoor oriented job.

A reminder to all our dove hunters coming in the next few weeks. 1. Have your license and HIP card, available from the odwc website. 2. Buy ammunition now! Don't wait. It might not be available and we don't have any. 3. Get out and practice! Quail Ridge and Clay Bird Sports are great clubs in the OKC area that welcome hunters.

Dove season will be here soon. The 3rd and 4th weekends are open. Contract us if you want one of these weekends for your group. Also, if you need ammo start looking now. Supply is short. Don't plan on running to the store the week before you hunt. They probably won't have any. Finally, bird numbers look great already!
