Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is one of the last truly untouched stretches of the Alabama Gulf Coast. Tucked away down Fort Morgan, it’s completely different from the busy beach scene—quiet, raw, and preserved the way the coast used to look.

Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival

From Fort Morgan, you can hop on the Mobile Bay Ferry, enjoy a scenic ride (often with dolphin sightings 🐬), and make a full day of it exploring the gardens and lantern displays before heading back to the beach. It’s such a memorable, easy excursion.
