We have an opening for September 26 to October 3. We would LOVE to have you stay! We have stocked it with all the things we could think of to make your vacation easier. Pack light!

We update regularly and make sure everything is in tip-top shape when you arrive! You can see the water from the living room, and the beach is just across the street. The amazing heated pool is steps behind the condo as well as the canal where the manatee frequent.

We have friends who spent last week at The Sunnyside. They took their granddaughter for her first flight, first trip to the beach... They spent time at the beach, in the pool, went to Sanibel, ate at Flippers, saw the manatees, played putt putt, ate ice cream, had Bad Ass coffee, took naps, played cards...all the things! We are so blessed to have other families making lifelong memories at The Sunnyside! (So thankful for the amazing pictures!)

It's an excellent get-a-way for all types of travelers.

We have an opening on the reservation calendar that covers almost two weeks but INCLUDES LABOR DAY WEEKEND!

Condo sleeps 8, is family-friendly, has a huge pool, manatee visits out back, and all the sand and gulf you want right across the street! We have tried to think of everything you might need.

We like to eat at new places when at the condo so that we can have suggestions for guests. However, we always seem to choose to go back to Flippers.

In our opinion, Flippers is the perfect experience if you are visiting the island. You can sit a few feet from the water, and the food is always incredible. We think the staff is top-notch, and the view cannot be beat.

This weekend, we enjoyed lunch on a scorcher of a day, but the open-air restaurant has fans mounted all around the top, and it was very comfortable. We watched multiple dolphins swimming through the bay just a few yards from our table as well as all of the boaters and jet skiers.

Don had his usual chicken alfredo (his favorite place to have it) that we have shared before so no pics, but I tried something new. They actually have a few all-day breakfast items to choose from. I had avocado toast with scrambled eggs that comes with a salad and ordered breakfast potatoes. The entire meal was so fresh. There was so much we took the salad home and split it with our dinner. Both meals were fresh and amazing.

Flippers is less than a 5 minute drive from The Sunnyside just over the bridge on the south end. We highly recommend trying it out. The chef even comes out occasionally and makes sure you are happy with the quality.

We watch tide charts like it is our day job. We estimate that low tides are sometimes 15-25 yards of extra beach to shell. It is when you can see what the water has been covering.

The first picture is the old pier posts from the beach because I couldn't easily get to the other end. Most of the pictures are from this vantage.

However, the second shot was taken at low tide. The water was out, and I was standing in ankle deep water looking inland.

The third pic is how much extra beach we got at low tide...not to mention the water is ankle deep many yards out.

We see this all of the time because we go at the specific times on purpose...but it AMAZES us every. single. time.

God is amazing. He is the ruler of the wind and the waters.

We were shelling before sunrise. There were less than 10 people on the beach. Talked to a fisherman who was having amazing luck. We collected some treasures, got rained on and did not care, enjoyed the views. God is amazing!
