We absolutely love the place we call home. Our rivers, mountains, fields, streams, and wildlife remind us every day how much we have to be thankful for in our quaint little town. 💚

One of our greatest blessings is the wonderful collection of locally owned restaurants that make our community special. Our mom and pop establishments bring their own recipes, personalities, and welcoming atmosphere to the table. Supporting them helps keep that small town spirit alive.

Here in Macon County, we are a gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains and a perfect base camp for exploring Western North Carolina and North Georgia. We are proud to share some of our favorite places to eat, all within about a 45 minute drive of Highlands Riverbend RV Resort & Cabins.

This season, we welcomed a little over 200 families to our small, boutique style campground, with just 18 sites, all waterfront on the beautiful Cullasaja River. Set within our eight acre garden venue, Highlands Riverbend is a place to enjoy nature, gather with friends, and feel at home.

One question our guests ask again and again is, “Where do you love to eat?” So we put together a list of our personal favorites. It is just a small sampling of the wonderful food and hospitality tucked throughout our beautiful mountains.
