This weekend is open. We've made Saturday night a 1 night minimum. Come and enjoy Rockport Fulton now that School is back in session. The restaurants and streets aren't as busy so you can truly enjoy a relaxing getaway.

Just a little piece of history down the street from the Chalet

Taken in 1932, this rare photo of the Fulton Mansion while local resident Dorothy Wade McHugh was taking a walk along the bay. During this time, the Great Depression was in full swing and the family who owned the Mansion (the Davidsons) began giving tours to make ends meet.

This photo of the Fulton Mansion comes courtesy of Cheryl Livingston and the Aransas County Historical Society. It placed third in the Society's 2014 photo contest and was featured on their 2015 calendar.

The Houston Chronicle recommended traveling down to Rockport today:

In February, the Lone Star Travel Guide released its "15 Best Beaches in Texas" report. Many beaches that San Antonians frequent made the list, such as Padre Island National Seashore.

The top spot, however, was not Port A or even Galveston. That honor went to Rockport, Texas' first and only "Blue Wave Beach."
