Last year, I attached a hog panel to the shed, and this year, I got around to planting a small garden space in front of it. A determinate tomato bush on each end, non-determinate cherry tomatoes and cucumbers will share the climbing space, bell peppers are in the foreground, watermelon vines will fill in the ground spaces in between, and the marigolds will come to bloom wildly and help to control the furry pests. This is the “before” when I’ve only laid cardboard and haven’t yet covered it with rocks (work in progress). It’s small, but manageable- and with the grocery store produce being high priced and covered with pesticides, this feels like a step in the right direction.
What are you guys planting?
