What an incredible season it has been at Sherwood Forest Campground!
As the CAMPGROUND MANAGERS, we want to extend a massive THANK YOU to all our amazing campers for making our second year in Gilbert so memorable!
A very special shout-out to our wonderful volunteer hosts, Mark and Samantha! Their dedication and willingness to take the reins allowed us to step away and actually relax, knowing the campground was in very good hands. We appreciate you both so much!
We officially close this Sunday following the Rock Rash event, but our work as campground managers continues behind the scenes! November and December will be busy months of planning, preparing for next season, and answering phone calls and emails.
Online reservations for the 2027 season are expected to open January 6th or 7th! Keep an eye out for updates!
Have a safe and wonderful winter, everyone! We will see you in the spring!

Your Sherwood Forest Campground Managers

That is incredibly frustrating. The dog p**p is sitting right there in the foreground grass, completely defeating the purpose of the waste station just a few yards away. It is maddening when people ignore the rules, especially when the campground makes it as easy as possible by providing bags and a disposal spot right in their line of sight. It ruins the space for everyone else who actually takes care of their pets and keeps the campground clean. If anyone sees this happening please let us know and if you know what site they are in will be very helpful.
For those who pick up after your pets, we thank you.
