Whispering Woods Sugar Cookie Recipe

1 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
2 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder

1. Cream to gather softened butter and powdered sugar
2. Add agg and vanilla extract. Mix until combined, scraping the sides of the bowl
3. Add salt, baking powder and flour a little at a time. Mix until combined.
4. Roll dough to 1/4" thickness and cut out shapes. Dust with flour as needed.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 9 minutes. Cool cookies on baking tray or move to a cooling rack.
