Our current tenant, a traveling nurse, gave us a beautiful bouquet when she joined us for a Thanksgiving meal. She will be with us for quite a while as she seems to love Fox Hill/Grandview (go figure!). She hasn't had a Thanksgiving meal in 8 years because she works on Thanksgiving to give others time with their families. What a gem! We've transitioned away from short-term rentals to mid-term rentals for traveling medical or military professionals. So far, so good!

Sharing a wonderful review from recent guest Cindy Bocrie:
"Just had a wonderful stay at Casa de Grandview! Six of us, all seniors except one, and one with severe limitations. The stairway going down into the unit is intimidating-steep with fairly narrow treads, but the chair lift works perfectly, and once we were in the unit, it was easy to forget it was a basement. It was very bright and open, smelled great. Furniture was super comfortable, and set up for lots of good family visiting. The kitchen was well-equipped and also open to living area, so whoever was cooking or doing dishes was still with the group. Nice big fridge yo hold food for crowds. We didn’t have kids with us, but I looked at the Toy room and thought how much fun our grandkids would have had in there. Owner Linda worked with me ahead of time to arrange several special features for the family member with severe limitations. We heard little of them upstairs and they said they heard little of us downstairs, so it felt private. The deck is large, with plenty of seating for the family cookout we had with done additional visitors. And Linda was available by text to answer any questions. Fabulous experience!"

THREE ROOM APARTMENT DESIGNED FOR TRAVELING PROFESSIONALS, HAMPTON, VIRGINIA; TRAVELING PROFESSIONALS ONLY (i.e. medical, military, ministry, education); 30 DAY MINIMUM, 90 day maximum with options to extend; flexible cancellation policy; basement level three bedroom apartment of our primary residence in the A+ safety rated Fox Hill neighborhood; $2,100 per month for 2700 square feet, no additional fees or taxes; one king room with en-suite bathroom, and two queen rooms that share a bathroom; light blocking curtains (will have true darkening curtains shortly), Fire TVs; safe, sparkling clean, quiet; coded keypad private entrance completely separate from the main house; max. two guests per room; tenants have the exclusive use of a large multi-purpose room, TV room with two huge, comfy couches, laundry room and the kitchen with full sized appliances; also includes use of the large sun deck and backyard.
