The owner says....
We love everything about Hilton Head! The weather is great and there are lots of things to do year-round. It has a small town feel, but the amenities of a larger city. We enjoy the best of island living from enjoying the beach, to playing golf and tennis, fishing and just enjoying being outdoors. There are many festivals and it seems like there is always something going on here. We love the restaurants and there are so many, we always have somewhere new to try. The cultural offerings on the island such as concerts and the theater are amazing. We don't miss the comforts of a city, but we no longer have to deal with the traffic!
Fiddler's Cove has an amazing location. We are so close to the beach and our friends come here to park and walk with us to spend the day on the beach. We also have a fantastic location mid-island and it is just minutes to activities on either the north or south end as well as very close to the new Shelter Cove area! We take advantage of both of the pools (one is even chilled during the hot summer!!), hot tub and club house amenities like reading room, exercise room and TV lounge area. We also offer indoor racquetball courts (the only ones I know of on the island) and 10 tennis courts. The complex has 24 hour security with an on-site guard and our own on-site regime manager.
Our favorite restaurants on the island are the local ones!! We especially like the restaurants of the Serg group and they have one for almost every culinary type. We especially enjoy the Skull Creek Boat House and Frankie Bones. We also enjoy other local restaurants like Low Country Backyard for comfort food, Char Bar for burgers, Local Pie for pizza and Santa Fe Cafe or Holy Tequila for Mexican. We love to eat out and HHI is restaurant heaven!
When we moved here we were initially attracted to the slower pace of life and access to outdoor activities year round. We loved the proximity to the beach and the idea that we could walk to the beach in minutes and walk on the beach daily. We still ask ourselves, "do we really get to live here??"
Hilton Head is famous for being a family friendly resort brimming with fun water sports, pristine beaches, well-kept tennis facilities, and world-class golf. Our chefs continue to win local and national awards and there are so many special Island events that celebrate our great restaurants and local cultures. Hilton Head is a gold medal biking community with over 100 miles of dedicated pathways open to the public. In short, Hilton Head is a great place to work, live and play.
Grocery stores, movie theaters, drug stores and restaurants are plentiful. We love going to the movies and have the BEST movie theater just one mile away. Northridge 10 has reclining seats in all their theaters that you never want to leave! There is a brand new Kroger conveniently located at Shelter Cove as well Publix, Bi-Lo, Harris Teeter close by. Other stores such as Barnes &Noble and WalMart are a close three miles away. And of course, with over 60 miles of bicycle pathways, you can travel anywhere on your bike!
Our Fiddler's Cove villa is second to none!! The villa was completely remodeled in 2013 in neutral coastal decor with lots of upgrades and things you WILL NOT FIND in any other villa. We changed the floor plan in the kitchen to add a built in eating area/hi top bar, provide loads of additional storage, build a pantry and a space to accomodate a larger washer/dryer. No expense was spared! There are upgrades throughout the villa such as crown molding throughout, granite countertops, top of the line cabinets and even a desk/work area! We also have something almost no other villa has......a serene golf course view! This villa is a MUST SEE and will not last!
We love spending time with our friends and there is no better place to do so than Hilton Head! Our friends use our villa as the meeting place for fun days at the beach and we love grilling out together afterwards. You always have lots of friends when you live at the beach!!
Our utility costs are a fraction of what they were in our last home. Our electricity bills are rarely above $100 even in the hottest part of summer! Water, trash, and landscape costs are all covered by the HOA. The only utilities we maintain as owners are electricity (offered by Palmetto Electric) and cable/internet (through Hargray or Time Warner which we use).
