The 2026 Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival theme is Boat to Market. This image is from the book The Fisherman and His Boat by Richard Floethe and beautifully reflects the story we are excited to share. This year’s festival highlights why Cortez and the Fish Preserve are so important, celebrating the journey of local seafood from the water to your table. All proceeds from the festival benefit F.I.S.H., supporting the preservation of our working waterfront and fishing heritage.

Join us on Pine Avenue in the City of Anna Maria on October 18, 2025, for the island's largest and longest-running festival. We're thrilled to be back after the challenges from last year's storms, and we can't wait to celebrate with our incredible community from 10 AM to 9 PM. Enjoy free admission, a classic car show, delicious food court, arts & crafts vendors, and a full day of live music from 10:30 AM to 9 PM, featuring Emcee Mike Sales, The Tropicats, Memphis Rub, Jack'd Up, and Dr. Dave Band.

Bayfest is a fantastic day out for the whole family, filled with good vibes and great entertainment. We are so excited to bring this beloved tradition back to life, showcasing the resilience and spirit of our beautiful island. Join us Friday for a cleanup after the Holiday weekend 😊 We love making sure our beach is clean for everyone to enjoy!

A community beach and shoreline cleanup event will take place in Holmes Beach Friday, May 30, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. There’s no registration required and volunteers are asked to simply show up at the 52nd Street beach access and join the Holmes Beach Code Compliance Department, Keep Manatee Beautiful, Waste Pro and other community members in cleaning the beach and shoreline.
