It’s official! We’re thrilled to announce that The Greenleigh, River Oaks, Autograph Collection — Houston’s highly anticipated new luxury hotel at Westheimer and 610 — will host The Social Book’s 22nd Annual Houston Treasures Awards Gala this December.

The Greenleigh introduces an entirely new hospitality experience to one of Houston’s most prominent locations, pairing sophisticated, nature-inspired design with destination dining, rooftop experiences and beautiful new spaces for celebrations and events.

Adding to the excitement, The Greenleigh’s Director of Events, Leo Hamel, whose Houston hospitality experience includes The Post Oak Hotel and Hyatt Regency Houston, will help bring this very special evening to life with an elegant four-course wine dinner celebrating The Social Book’s 2027 class of Houston Treasures honorees.

We can’t think of a more fitting setting to celebrate some of the people who make Houston such an extraordinary city. This will be an evening to remember!

As many of you are aware, and for those who are not, our dear friend Mary Ann McKeithan passed away on June 30th after a long battle with Alzheimer's over the past four years. The family has asked me to let friends know that a memorial service will be held tomorrow, Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel at Grace Presbyterian Church, 10221 Ella Lee Lane, Houston, Texas 77042. Over 350 excited guests joined Chairs Tricia Britt, Kelli Bunch, Maddison McConn, and McKenzie Reitz and made their way to this remarkable home for the annual Rienzi Spring Party, where they dined poolside in a Palm Beach atmosphere and raised $157,000 for Rienzi's operating budget. Congratulations to all involved!

The Men of Distinction Luncheon celebrated 19 years of honoring our city's philanthropic gentlemen, and to date, has raised over $7.5 million to benefit pediatric biomedical research, education and patient care in the Texas Medical Center. Honored were John Eads, Michael Linn and John Rydman. Congratulations to all!
