This season always makes me pause and reflect on where we started, the mistakes we made, and why Stronghold Real Estate exists in the first place.
For years, I did what I was “supposed” to do. I spent 17 years as an engineer, and my wife Vanessa spent 13 years as an attorney. On paper, everything looked great. Stable careers. Long hours. Good income.
But something was missing.
More responsibility did not mean more freedom. Time with family became the trade-off. The finish line kept moving.
We did not want to stop working. We wanted our work to work for us.
That is when we discovered short-term rentals. At first, it was just one property. Then came the hard lessons. Pricing mistakes. Guest issues. Bad advice. Late nights fixing problems we did not even know existed.
Nothing about this journey was easy. But it was real.
In 2021, everything changed. Our short-term rental income exceeded our W-2 income. That moment was not luck. It was the result of systems, discipline, and learning the hard way.
Stronghold Real Estate was built from that experience. Not from theory. Not from gurus. But from managing our own properties, protecting our own homes, and fixing our own mistakes.
This Christmas, I wanted to give something back.
I put everything we have learned: the systems, safeguards, and revenue strategies into one resource:
The Ultimate Guide to Short-Term Rental Business
Inside this free guide, you will learn:
• How to start or scale a short-term rental the right way
• How to protect your property and avoid costly mistakes
• How to price, list, and optimize for real revenue
• How to turn STRs into long-term wealth, not stress
This is the guide I wish existed when we were starting out.
Consider this our Christmas gift from our family to yours. If you know someone curious about Airbnb, short-term rentals, or real estate investing, please share this with them.
