Here it is! After sanding and painting, I decoupaged rice paper to craft boards. I added trim, painted, then affixed the scenes to the cabinet doors. The Italian scenes mimic the tiles that are installed on the wall behind our stove, and, of course, I chose black to match our cabinets. What do you think?

So I’m not quite ready to return to the business, and I’m definitely not taking client work yet, but I’m finally feeling well enough to feel the itch to paint again. So I’ve had this sad, bare wood cart in my kitchen for YEARS. It’s suffered damage from a mishap with potatoes that expired prematurely 😣. Let’s see if I can bring some life to this thing and make it actually match my kitchen

I know it’s been a long time folks. I’ve been on hiatus due to my health and some other things. But I’ve finally got something new to show you and here it is! Isn’t she beautiful? I painted her in Raw Silk by Fusion Mineral paint, then decoupaged this lovely rice paper to the front drawers. Add some new hardware and she’s ready to go! Selling for $120. Don’t be shy!

And here’s the finished product! I just love the color. It’s called After the Storm and is a gorgeous blue black color. Very moody and sea worthy for our nautical themed storage cabinet. Open the cabinet doors and you’re treated to ships at sea on the hidden drawers. Such a fun project.

As per usual, I forgot to take a before picture. 🫤 But I searched the internet and found this dresser that looks quite similar to the one I just flipped. The color is the same, the doors and drawers are similar, the hardware is almost exact. So while the picture you’re looking at is NOT the dresser I worked on, consider it to be representative of a BEFORE picture. Gives you an idea of what hubby’s dresser used to look like

So I haven’t posted in quite a long time. This past year I simply haven’t done much in the way of furniture projects. I’ve done a couple, but didn’t take pictures or share them. I guess I’ve been in a furniture funk. What I have been doing, that I’m very excited about, is spending months renovating our RV. It’s 20 years old and we’ve worked very hard to breathe new life into it and make it homey. Pics will be posted in coming days after I finish a few more things.
In the meantime, I’m excited to say that I do have a project to post. Just this week I flipped a dresser for my husband’s office. It turned out so awesome I just can’t stand it. I love it. I’m more than happy to share this project with you and will post pictures later today. I hope you all enjoy it.

I just finished a set of dining chairs that, while beautiful in the end, were an awful lot of work. I swore I’d never do chairs again. So what did I do? Before the client even picked up her set, I went out and bought this group of chairs cuz they’re just so cute! I see children’s tables or desks. I see painted and embellished decorative chairs. I see lots of adorable potential!
