Indianapolis is very proud to the the home chapter of National President Deidre Shelby Lindsey

Since her initiation nearly 20 years ago she has worked tirelessly to cultivate the next generation of African American leaders. We are grateful for her dedication and look forward to supporting her she leads 🩷💙

We are proud to introduce Deidre S. Lindsey, PharmD, MBA, 29th National President of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. 

A member of the Indianapolis Chapter in the Mid-Western Region since 2008, Dr. Lindsey brings nearly two decades of progressive leadership to the National Office. Her Jack and Jill journey has included service as two-term Chapter President, Mid-Western Regional Director and, most recently, National Treasurer. Throughout her service, she has championed leadership development, strong governance and thoughtful stewardship while creating opportunities that prepare mothers to lead at every level of the organization. 

Dr. Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi, a Doctor of Pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She also completed an Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. Professionally, she brings more than 25 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and currently leads a national team of specialized medical professionals. 

As 29th National President, Dr. Lindsey leads with a vision grounded in The Power of Us: Empowered Mothers. Joyful Families. Strengthening Communities. Her vision is one where mothers lead with confidence, families thrive through meaningful experiences, children are equipped to reach their fullest potential and communities are strengthened through our collective purpose and service.

Danette Gerald Howard on her recent election to the role of Vice Chair of the Howard University Board of Trustees!

Dr. Howard, a 1997 graduate, continues to be a powerful force in national education leadership. Her career spans executive roles at Lumina Foundation and serving as the former Secretary of Higher Education for the State of Maryland.

From leading on the national stage to inspiring our chapter every day, President Howard exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose, vision, and excellence.

Mother Tawana was recently honored with the prestigious Phenomenal Woman Leadership Award at the Women’s Health Symposium during the 113th Annual National Dental Association Conference in Richmond, VA.

Congratulations to Jacobi Warren, selected by her peers as the 2026 Outstanding Senior for the Indianapolis Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.!

Jacobi is the daughter of newly minted Associate Jewel, Sherry Corbitt Warren and a 15-year member of our Incredible chapter.

Jacobi has been an exceptional leader during her tenure. She has served locally as Teen President, Parliamentatrian and Legislative Liaison and Regionally on the Teen Nominating Committee, all while excelling as a Student-Athlete, National Honor Society Member, Debutante and Mentor.

This fall, she's taking her talents to Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business as she prepares for her future career in law!

Mission Possible.

The Indianapolis Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, proudly celebrates our very own Deidre Shelby Lindsey on her election as National President! After faithfully serving the organization in several leadership roles, including Regional Treasurer, Regional Director, and National Treasurer, she now steps into this greater calling to lead with integrity, wisdom, and love.

A little rain couldn't stop our shine!

The Indianapolis Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Fathers' Auxiliary, in partnership with the Circle City Chapter Fathers' Auxiliary challenged the Jacks and Jills to a game of kickball.

Families gathered for food, fun and fellowship, with a sporty twist. The inaugural game was a big hit and the children are already looking forward to a rematch next summer.

The work is easy when you play together! 🩷💙

Indiana is one of 23 states that have yet to pass the CROWN Act, despite the bill being filed in the Indiana General Assembly, most recently by State Senator J.D. Ford
