On this day, 22 years ago, February 22, 2002, the Ritz Chamber Players came to life with our inaugural concert at our namesake venue, The Ritz Theater & LaVilla Museum in Jacksonville, Florida! Our journey has been an amazing dedication to fostering a more inclusive and diverse cultural community in Northeast Florida and beyond.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to our RCMS Board of Directors, generous corporate and individual donors, supportive Friends, dedicated volunteers, and our talented RCP Artists who have made these 22 years possible! We invite all of you to continue this remarkable journey with us and support our mission for a more inclusive and diverse community.
Thank you all immensely, and we eagerly anticipate your presence at our celebratory performance on Saturday, February 24, 2024, where we will share in some delightful birthday cake!

LET FREEDOM SING | FESTIVAL CHOIR
LET YOUR VOICE JOIN THE CELEBRATION!

We are looking for 75 inspired singers that would like to join the Ritz Chamber Players and the St. Augustine Music Festival as we celebrate Juneteenth – also known as Freedom Day- on the anniversary date of the June 19, 1865 emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the United States. Along with the SAMF Orchestra and the RCP, we look forward to YOU joining the united multi-community choir performing an inspiring selection of African-American Spirituals and classical works rejoicing in the triumphs of the Civil Rights Movement.

The Festival Choir will be directed by renowned choral conductors Dr. Herbert Vincent-Ricardo Pea’dro Jones and Deborah McDuffie. Rehearsals leading to the performances will be offered via Zoom/Facebook.
