The Great Lakes Region of the AMTA is conducting a survey to review the current anonymized election process. This survey asks for your thoughts on what information about candidates should be publicly visible to voters and what - if anything - should be withheld to reduce bias.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Thank you for following along each Friday to read about how music therapy supports mental health and well-being.

Did you know? Music therapy helps build resilience. Life brings challenges, setbacks, and stress, but music can help strengthen the skills we use to adapt and keep moving forward.

Music therapy uses rhythm, melody, songwriting, and guided listening to support emotional expression, build coping strategies, and create a sense of stability during difficult moments. Whether it’s making music or reflecting through listening, these experiences can help you reconnect with your inner strength.

Take a few minutes today to listen, reflect, and recharge. Your mental health matters! 💙
