🔥 This year’s Beach House Burn figure brings a piece of Kenosha’s industrial history to life. Brian and John are recreating Zalmon Simmons crossing Pike Creek by boat from the Allen Tannery to the Bain Wagon Factory. In the late 1800s, both were major Kenosha industries, with the Allen Tannery becoming one of the city’s leading leather manufacturers and Bain becoming one of the country’s major wagon makers. Pike Creek ran right through this busy industrial area before much of it was eventually covered.

Simmons himself helped shape Kenosha’s growth as a businessman and philanthropist, and the island where the Beach House now stands was once part of his estate. On September 12, we’ll pay tribute to that history with a little help from fire. Learn more by clicking the event link here: Beach House Burn 🔥
