🌈😰Peacefully and quietly our dearest friend, Chet Ragland a/k/a the ballad loving songstress, Ms. Lena Wayback departed this life on Thursday, April 11, 2024. He is/will be sorely missed ❤️

A frequent Zebulon's Grotto guest - Chet was loved by all and a friend to all. He was family. Impractically, practical and an avid Amazon shopper. Chet would bestow most every uniquely comical treasured purchase to friends as a way of spreading his love, laughter and frivolity. His sparkly personality, faux furs, eccentric jewelry, high heels and whimsical, fun-loving, matter-of-fact way of living endeared him to many.

Chet was a Navy Veteran and we are grateful 🙏🏽 for his service! (one of the pictures shows him working the maternity ward while in the Navy just after assisting with the delivery of a baby). Later he worked for many years at Memorial Regional Hospital as a Radiologist Technician until retiring several years ago.

It is so difficult to say goodbye Chet, without being able to say goodbye to you. We will remember and think of you often when we gather, and save a spot for you around the bar, a tent site for your tent and a special place in our hearts forever.❤️🌈 You are missed. Thank you for all your sparkle and glitter (ok maybe not the glitter cause we still find it here there and everywhere.- there’s no getting rid of glitter 😡… and there’s also no getting rid of the fabulous impact you made in our lives😘 🙏🏽

With much sadness😓, today we said goodbye to our beloved ❤️Whiney🐈. He will be greatly missed making his rounds and visiting everyone around the pool and bar area. He was a constant companion to Charles, following him everywhere at ZG. We miss you and love you Whiney. You will always have a special place in Charles’ heart and all the many ZG guests whom you paid a friendly visit to during their stay ❤️‍🩹
