One of the questions we get most often when helping newbies plan a Secrets Hideaway stay is what is appropriate attire? You have spent time finding the perfect room and now it is time to start thinking about what you want to wear while visiting. While Secrets is predominantly clothing optional there are certain places and events that require clothing. Florida regulations prohibit nudity in enclosed spaces where alcohol is sold. Tiki bars are not enclosed rooms so you can saddle up to the two tiki bars completely naked and enjoy a cold Jai Alai, Rum Runner, or Parrot Bay bucket drink. However, you will notice most people sitting at the tiki bars are clothed. There are two reasons for this. First, it’s a courtesy. Secrets asks that people be covered or at least sitting on towels in the areas where food is served. Secondly, and probably more importantly, the bar stools have a grid pattern leaving you with severe waffle butt when you get up to leave. So, if you are not fully ready to bear all, or don’t want waffle butt, bring a swimsuit or a coverup.
For daytime a swimsuit is really about all you need. But come nighttime you’ll see people dressing up. Secrets has a calendar at https://secretsfl.com/events?TravelAffiliate=29274 where you will find all events for the next three months. The descriptions even have ideas of what to wear. It’s always a good idea to check two weeks before you travel to ensure nothing has been updated. Dressing for the theme can be so much fun and a way to interact with other guests, but if you aren’t feeling the theme on a given night don’t worry about it. Many of the guests choose not to dress for the theme and still have a great time. If you choose not to dress for the theme, having nice pants and a shirt to go to the club is a good idea.
The other two places that require clothing are the main building/lobby and any area on the outside of the complex, visible from the road. There is a major road in front of Secrets so be cognizant of the vanilla world and keep your bits covered while visible from the road.
The playrooms are the opposite. To use the playrooms, you are required to be fully n**e with the exception of a towel or robe. Secrets does take security and anonymity seriously in the playrooms. No cell phones, smartwatches, or meta glasses are allowed in the playrooms.
So there you have it. Secrets Hideaway Resort Kissimmee is truly a clothing optional lifestyle resort. If you want to show up with a swimsuit and one change of clothing for your return trip you won’t miss a thing.
