You’ve found the perfect beach house or mountain cabin. The photos look great, the reviews are strong, and you’re ready to click “Book Now” on Airbnb or Vrbo.
Before you do, take one more step: compare the complete price with the property owner’s own booking website.
The price you see on a vacation rental platform is not necessarily the same price the owner receives. Platform service fees, commissions, and pricing adjustments can change what both the traveler pays and the owner receives.

More bears! 🐻🐻

These two young bears came strolling through the yard at Appalachian Escape — and they look quite a bit bigger than the little cubs we spotted with their mama recently.

Yearlings? Maybe! Either way, they clearly know this is a pretty nice place to wander. 😄🌲
