🔎 Checking on tiny details in a BIG way!

My kids and I spent some time at Pop Century to see if we needed to make some changes to my Story Hunts. We test out the routes to make sure you have the best time exploring around theme parks, resorts, and more!

If your upcoming Central Florida trip needs a blueprint for fun with a scavenger hunt, comment “BIG” below and let’s start planning it out!

DUDE! 92 years ago this rad Duck made his first appearance in the 1934 Silly Symphony short The Wise Little Hen.

So it’s totally tubular that Donald is the character for the 1990s in the Pop Century lobby. We miss those shadow boxes but the character representation is pretty sweet.

Is Donald your guy? He may have a temper but he’s also a loyal friend.

I include details like this in my interactive scavenger hunts for the Resort areas, each of the parks, Disney Springs, and more locations. I call them Story Hunts 🔍 📖 They are great for any age and help experience the location’s stories in a new way.

🌧️ Take a scrolling break and adjust your sound to hear the rain falling on the metal roof of a cabin at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort during our recent checkout day. In the bustle of packing up, it literally made me pause and appreciate nature from the inside.

Consider this your Emotional Escape Room to improve your mental health 😌

🧭 One of the best lessons places to get lost is Disney World. You can escape some of the hustle and perhaps discover something new.

It’s crazy to think that Muppet*Vision 3D closed one year ago on June 7, 2025. Now we have Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, a very different attraction from a theater show but it has many tributes to The Muppets across film, TV, and theme parks.

You don’t have to ride the roller coaster to see everything. Pop into Rock Around the Shop, at the exit and find the crates that feature MV 3D (and the nearby Hidden Mickey in cords).
Along the wall at the entrance are posters for each member of The Electric Mayhem. They’ve come a long way from looking for a gig at the exit of Muppet*Vision 3D.

Do you miss Muppet*Vision 3D? It still hurts but this new area fills some of the void.

People are missing the best way to enter the new Animation Courtyard! Watch until the end, the emotional payoff is worth it.

Then, save this video and do this instead if you are a Walt and Disney history fan, like me, or want to learn more. Pause at the new brick entrance modeled after the one at The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank. Take a photo. Then keep walking.
Walt Disney Presents is just down the street, past The Voyage of The Little Mermaid. I could go on and on about how amazing this space is and the history it covers. Enjoy at your leisure, especially the AC, but DO NOT MISS the film at the end.
The film covers the origins of The Walt Disney Company, and the animation studios. The very same studios you are about to walk through. Here from Walt himself and the lovely Julie Andrews. Because this film exits in the back corner of the Animation Courtyard, it makes for a beautiful setup for what you will see.

I knew I would love this reimagined space when it was announced. But it still blew me away. This is everything I love about theme park spaces with ties to beloved characters and stories. And it’s not even fully opened yet.

Which character would you like to meet here?

Disney storytelling in theme parks is alive and well! My kids and I spent some time in the new Animation Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and WOW 😮 It’s inspired by The Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank and the “Once Upon A Studio” short.

THE DETAILS from every angle give you a reason to smile. Some of the most whimsical touches are the character statues and handprints outside what will be the entrance to The Magic of Disney Animation.

These are exactly the kind of details I like to include in my Story Hunts so that people can explore and discover together, clue by clue.

Is this area on your list as a must see?

😎 School is OUT for many this summer! Don’t be scatter brained and run OUT of ideas to entertain your kids!

I have themed activity bundles that are PDFs so you can print what you need. Themes include General Disney, Disney Cruise Line, and Harry Potter but I love to create custom ones, too.

What are you doing with your kids this summer?

Comment “BUNDLE” if you want more info on my activities and puzzles.

⚾️ The walk ups at games are some of the best parts. The May 29 game at Disney World ESPN Wide World of Sports had some extra magical Disney touches.
The Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride with Stitch looked a little different on social media and the jumbo tron than from our seats behind home plate.

But truly, from either angle, the Loco Beach Coconuts brought the energy! 🏄🏼‍♂️

Do you like these extended walk ups that entertain and tell a story?

☁️ Were you ready for it? The countdown ran out and revealed that Taylor Swift wrote a new song for Toy Story 5. It’s looking like it’s inspired by Jessie and it’s entitled “I Knew It, I Knew You.”
Taylor certainly loves Easter Eggs and hidden details. So it makes sense for her to be paired with Pixar, who also loves to hide references throughout their films.

If you are among those who love to uncover details that tell a story, then one of my Story Hunts is for you. They are packed with everything you need for an adventure. Each Story Hunt has at least one unique puzzle that reveals a story element from the environment around you 🔍 📖
The task at Disney’s Hollywood Studios directs you to Andy’s Backyard to find a beloved Toy Story character, using a scratch off inspired by an Etch-A-Sketch ⭐️ 🧸

How do you feel about a TS crossover between Taylor Swift and Toy Story?
