I'm touched by the outpouring of support from families checking in on us and the Happy Heron. Your love for this place matches ours, and I'm grateful for the friends we've met over the years who have been reaching out. This felt like the best way to give an update.
Thankfully, our home weathered the worst of the damaging winds; the water didn't reach the cabin. The boathouse will need rebuilding, but we'll think about that much, much later.
The path to recovery will be long for this beloved community, but brighter days are ahead. Thank you for embracing and caring for this little slice of heaven as we do. ❤️
