Guess who showed up today? Meet Kalib, my business partner! He makes Kalib’s Kindling that we sell in Milo’s Market here. You get pieces of kiln dried wood, matches and a paper bag to get your campfire going! Kalib works with his mom and dad to cut the kindling. They designed his logo and they deliver the stock to our campground store. When he visits, we check his inventory and I pay him for his share of the bags that were sold. He is a blooming entrepreneur and it is privilege to work with him and his family. I am blessed, for sure! Thanks Kalib for your delivery today!

Happy Fourth of July from Mt Greylock Campsite Park! We had a fabulous weekend! Amazing guests and decent weather! Jacob has “graduated” to one of the most important jobs at the campground - guest services at the black water station! Congratulations Jacob! I have an amazing team here and for once, most of us were here at the same time! We are just missing Beth! I will see if someone can photoshop her in for us! My chicken was a gift from Betty, a guest. Sam decided to mark the campground residence driveway with it. Hopefully, it will remind everyone to slow down as my chickens literally cross the road there! Thanks to everyone for another great weekend! So blessed. Happy Birthday America!

I posted this locally yesterday. Thanks to Patty Barnaby from The Venue and Scott Graves from The Rusty Anchor for your help!!! We will need more…so if you are camping with us this weekend, stop on your way to get ice. I apologize for any inconvenience. We will rectify this ASAP. Is there an ice maker in my future?

We need ice! We did not carefully monitor our ice inventory and did not expect this heat wave and we missed the deadline for ordering bulk ice from Summit Ice. I called to place an order after the deadline and I could only leave a voicemail so I have no idea if they will get out here from Springfield (I miss Greylock Ice) before our holiday rush of tent campers. I am hoping there is someone in town with an ice machine that will be willing to sell me 50 bags of ice. The alternative is purchasing it from Mobil, Dollar General, Big Y. It can be done, and we’ll do it if we have to. Open to your suggestions. I just wish I knew if Summit Ice was coming to the rescue!

We were delighted to have several camping members of the Meyers Manx Dune Buggy Club stay with us while they attended the Buggies in the Berkshires Rally held at Jiminy Peak this weekend. It was really fun to watch their buggies go in and out of the campground and to hear about their rides and adventures all around our area. We are group experts. Planning a family, school, Scout, church group camping trip? Call us to reserve contiguous RV campsites or one of our Group Tent campsites or a combination of both. Special thanks to Richard Roy for coordinating their group camping trip and for bringing the group to Mt Greylock Campsite Park. We are “beyond grateful”!

A message from our friends on Mount Greylock…..THE ROAD TO THE SUMMIT is OPEN!

Mount Greylock State Reservation has parking available, but there's a catch: vehicles over 22 feet in length are prohibited from traveling on the Mount Greylock Auto Roads and to the summit. If you're planning to visit, you can park and explore the area, but be aware of the vehicle restrictions.

*Parking Details:*

- *Location:* Parking areas are available near the summit and along the auto road.
- *Fee:* There's a parking fee of $5 for Massachusetts residents and $20 for out-of-state visitors.
- *Visitor Center:* The Mount Greylock Visitor Center remains accessible to all vehicles ¹ ².

*Visitor Center Information:*

- *Hours:* Open daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- *Closed:* Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Keep in mind that while parking is available, it's always a good idea to plan ahead and check for any updates on the official Mount Greylock State Reservation website or by contacting them directly ².
