The Northeast Iowa Artists' Studio Tour was great fun, but now it's done. I had good discussions with many visitors, and lots of pieces from my six tables of pottery went to new homes. I was able to condense the remainder down to 3 very full tables so that I can reclaim some of the table space in the Gathering Room for other purposes! I'll keep the pottery out for another week or so, in case anyone who missed out wants to stop by and take a look. Send me a message in advance to make sure someone is home.
My next event at Iowisota is the "Women's Walk in the Woods" on Sunday afternoon October 18th, from 2-4. The woods are lovely right now! I don't know which trails we will walk, since a lot depends on weather and what the participants want to do. If you want to join us, sign up on the Iowisota webpage! Iowisota is a location on the Northeast Iowa Artists' Studio Tour this year! If you've been wanting to come check out Iowisota, we will have open house 10-5 every day of the tour... October 9, 10, and 11. And we have our lodging (rooms in retreat center or cabin) available; Great time to come to northeast Iowa to see fall colors, visit a bunch of artist's studios, and use Iowisota as an overnight "home base". That is also the weekend of the Driftless Half Marathon, we welcome runners too!

There are just 2 spots left for our "Foraging and Feasting with Bo Brown" event on Thursday Evening (Sept 10). If you can't make the 4:30 foraging walk, you can sign up for just the dinner at 6:45. Cost for either the walk or the dinner is $30, cost for both is $50. We also still have the cabin and one guest bedroom available for Thursday night.
