In March of 2009 President Barack Obama signed the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 into law designating 124,406 acres of wilderness in Zion National Park. These protected areas give us opportunities to connect with the land in unique and meaningful ways. Wherever you find your "wildness" this weekend, make sure you leave these areas the same (or better) than you find them. Keep wilderness free of trash, graffiti, fire, and social trails.
