Michigan weather changed its mind? Your Up North plans don’t have to. 💦🐾

More than 20 years ago, someone had a big idea: build an indoor pool at the campground.

From foundation and framing to thousands of splashes later, that idea is still creating memories at Black Dog Base Camp—now with an indoor heated pool and hot tub that keep the fun going when the weather doesn’t cooperate.

And you don’t have to be camping with us to enjoy it!

💦 Day Pass: $10 for the entire day
🐾 Splash Pass: 10 visits for $80

One of our campers captured Northern Michigan perfectly this weekend.

Campfire nights. Dogs relaxing at camp. Towering trees and a sky filled with more stars than you remembered existed.

This is late summer Up North—the days are still warm, the evenings are getting cooler, and everything seems to invite you to slow down, breathe a little deeper and stay outside just a little longer.

Sometimes the best part of camping is simply being still enough to notice how beautiful it all is. 🌲🔥✨🐾
