We are a short drive around 11 miles from this beautiful view!!

Bald Rock inside Cheaha State Park might honestly have one of the best sunset views anywhere in Alabama. The massive overlook stretches across miles of mountains and forest while evening light slowly turns the entire landscape orange and gold during summer.

A lot of people drive all the way up there simply to sit quietly and watch sunset without distractions. The boardwalk makes the overlook easy to reach, but the scenery still feels unbelievably wild once visitors step out over the cliffs.

What makes places like this explode online is that people genuinely do not expect Alabama to have mountain views like this.

It completely destroys the stereotype outsiders still have about the state.
