To the cute, 4’11” red haired, blue eyed “Iron Lady” who has made what it is today…..Happy 82 to you Aunt Carol, Mom, Grandma and best friend to who we honor today with her

💜Before AC took over in ‘90, The Hotel was only open for 3 months out of the year. AC got things rolling and finally turned a small profit years later with ALOT of patience, sharp business sense, faith and friends like Joan that were in the trenches with her from the start …scrubbing bathrooms together (before we had a Jean or Katie).

💛Was sad to see her working in the back the other day as she deserves to be relaxing on her porch painting a picture. When I mentioned this she responded confidently + with a sprinkling of AC sass:

…..“Don’t you know I DO what I want?!”….

And then more softly……“I got to make the stuffed mushrooms for my best friend (Joan) exactly how she wanted them.” Followed with an increased volume of “She’s been telling me how she wants this day to go for the past 15 years!” with her AC chuckle.

So along with her best guy & partner in crime, the Italian Stallion from (Carmine) they cut, prepped and prepared today…..for Joan.

When you think you’re tired (which may be true) or think Aunt Carol is just lucky (well, that she is☘️) …her success come from her RELENTLESS blue collar raised work ethic, sharp mind and getting the job done (especially when you’re short staffed) no nonsense “I live in the REAL world” attitude.

Cheers to you AC! May we all have a cute Carmine by our side and friend like Joan !

Thankful to know you and for you Colonel Morrisson John Hosley Jr. ❤️🤍💙 🫡 Also for your sons Matt & Nate along with Chef Ben owners of the Long View Lodge who have helped us navigate our first years of running a bar & restaurant in the Adirondacks (as well as the whole Hosley crew. Long Lake + Hosley = STRONG, like Eagle 🦅 )



To celebrate, we’re brining back the OG circa ‘90’s creator and King of The Hotel ….former Texas State Trooper, James Billings!! Jim will be grilling up THEE most tender ribs & bbq chicken along with corn on the cob, Cowboy baked beans, cornbread + salad starting today and running every Saturday this summer, 4-8pm!

P.s. We’re open post 🧨fireworks 🧨 for cold drinks and Stacy + Matej made by the slice from 8pm on (until sold out)

She’s here to let you know we love fur fam friends and welcome pups on both our outside deck (with waitress service) as well as our front porch (you can order to-go at our front desk and eat on one of the wood slab tables or rocking chairs).

We had our first Hotel guests sitting out on the porch this past week (5/13) and even more porch patrons today as it’s 82 degrees! While I didn’t get a photo of the crew from Pennsylvania that stayed with us, here is one of our very own Hotel Baby (as noted by the bar mop blanket Dad gave her 🤭)
