Yesterday was Transgender Day Of Remembrance. I had some tech issues, so this video is unfortunately a day late. Except that this video isn't a day late, it's as many days late for all of the lives which were taken violently this year. So even though today is no longer officially Transgender Day Of Remembrance, it is as important of a day to remember the trans and non-binary individuals who simply wanted to live their truth. It's equally important today, as any day, to engage in the movement of equality with actions. It will always be important. Join me in saying the names of our lost transgender and non-binary siblings, and fellow humxns to violent hate-crimes, simply for being their beautiful selves. Trans Day Of Remembrance - TDOR is coming up Nov. 20th. Black and brown trans and feminine non-binary womxn are still getting murdered at significantly higher rates every day. This year has been the highest number RECORDED because they are never all reported. So many names never said. So many lives shortened. So many stories not told. We are SO SO SO lucky to have activists and people in general such as the divine goddess COACH BLOSSOM C. BROWN]!!! You can see her documentary NOW on Plex. I truly hope you watch this with your heart and ears because the violence has to stop. The trans non-binary community, especially white Allies need to stand up and speak out!!! Black trans lives matter every single second of every day in our concept of time. They are brave, talented, loving beings who deserve every ounce of respect you command to be given. Posted • .0 Parent and child relationships are powerful and unique bonds, which really require no words. However, my dad deserve them. I spent the day reflecting on our relationship.
No matter what, my dad has always been there. Even at times when I wish he would react differently, he showed-up. Sometimes, it meant missing school performances and now I’m across the country, and he shows-up in other ways. It has taken me a long time to understand there are many different ways to show-up for someone and then to not measure them against other ways.
Recently, I felt a quantum leap in progress with my relationship with my dad. I no longer feel the need to compare or contrast our relationship to him and my brother, or with any other cisgender men and their fathers. I don’t spend much time in anger or questioning whether he loves me. I don’t simply wait for him to call, I call him.
This hasn’t been the easiest relationship in my life and it only adds to the importance in my life, because we have to make the effort and we have chosen to. Thank you for choosing to make the effort, dad. Thank you for always returning, even when we literally walk in opposite directions. Thank you for doing your best and for your undeniable love. We have a different relationship and it’s ours. With these new understandings of who we are and our dynamic, I look forward to the many more memories we create together. In this moment, I know how much I would be lost without you. I also know that because of the amazing dad you are, one day I won’t feel so lost. I love you. I love you. I love you.

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH FAMILY!!!
I love you. I love you. I love you!!! I love you unconditionally. I respect your identities and experiences. I celebrate your existence and the achievements you’ve made from surviving to thriving.
As we celebrate this magical month, let us remember how many had to step up and fight for our ability to celebrate being ourselves, and any freedoms we have to this point. Remember that when you celebrate the LGBTQAI+ community, that means ALL BEINGS - ALL BODIES - ALL ABILITIES. Be sure you’re acknowledging the marginalized family members who put so much aside to focus on the rights of all in the community, especially black and brown trans womxn. Be sure you’re acknowledging that although terms shift and expand, that we aren’t erasing the beings who identify how they feel comfortable, especially those in the trans community who transitioned before there was language at all. Everyone deserves a seat at the table - EVERYONE. We can choose to love others as they are, as we want to be loved as we are. Pride didn’t begin as a celebration and we owe our history, and the foundation of the community to so many. It’s up to the present and future generations to honor, respect, and to continue forward because we have SO MUCH more to do. There were others even before Marsha P. Johnson through the brick at Stonewall, and those who have made strides since then.
Thank you so much elders, for paving the way!!! I’m sending love and light to those who are no longer on this plane and to those who still are. I am sending love and light to the family and friends of all our trans and non-binary siblings who have been taken unjustly, and brutally - too soon. I am sending love to the true allies who are putting the effort in, especially the parents and teachers who are showing up, instead of shutting down.
Remember that you belong in every space you choose to be in. Remember that Pride is 24/7 - 365 and if you’re not harming anyone, that you have every single right to be yourself. Live your best life because Marsha and the many others are smiling on us; are dancing in the streets or on zoom with us. Let’s make them proud.

This week has tested me quite a bit, however I’m grateful to be at the gate at LAX.
I managed to remember everything, other than my sunglasses. I completed most of what I I chose to accomplish before I left. I have a TON to do on Monday, so I’m officially taking off until then. The next time you’ll hear from me, I’ll be in Santa Fe!!!
