Economy Of Change

Economy Of Change Every dollar is a vote. We're here to rock the vote. Join us. Economy of Change is an idea worth spreading. This movement will focus on organized consumer power.

We imagine a world where businesses are no longer accelerating social and environmental devastation. Instead, our economies have become massive engines for positive change, fueling the creation of a sustainable and equitable world where all people can thrive. To reach this vision, we aim to rally communities around an exciting new approach to social change. Artists will lead the way for a culture

shift in business. Visions of renaissance will inspire communities to kickstart a groundswell of mission-driven businesses, whose primary purpose is the common good. Through innovative community organizing techniques, we will create an overwhelming demand for these businesses so that they succeed in their mission from the moment they open their doors. The growing demand will enable us to help put our communities back to work in jobs we can feel great about. This movement has already begun; we are simply acting as catalysts to accelerate the shift toward a mission-driven economy. We will use many strategies to realize this vision, but we will begin with our main focus: innovative courses to educate youth in social enterprise* and organized consumer power, through the arts.

Gandhi famously changed his country through economic action. Our motto is inspired by his famous call to “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

At Economy of Change, our challenge is:
“If You Want to Be the Change…Buy the Change.”

"Our goal is nothing less than to change the world for the common good. It is no secret that the list of seemingly insurmountable social, environmental and human concerns is growing far more quickly than the ability of traditional sectors to address them.

We envision a world in which these vexing concerns are overcome, and we see social enterprise as, quite possibly, the single most hopeful vehicle for doing so."

The social needs addressed by social enterprises and the business models they use are as diverse as human ingenuity. Social enterprises build a more just, sustainable w...
