BLVD Hotels announced its commitment to assisting those displaced by the recent devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. The hotel is proud to participate in the Emergency Lodging Assistance (ELA) program, offering temporary housing and support to individuals and families who have lost their homes or been evacuated due to the fires.
"The safety and well-being of our community is our utmost priority," said Sagar Kumar, CEO of BLVD Hotels. "We are heartbroken to witness the devastation caused by these wildfires, and we want to do everything we can to help those affected. Through the Emergency Lodging Assistance program, we are providing safe and comfortable accommodations to those who need it most during this difficult time."
The Emergency Lodging Assistance (ELA) program provides lodging reimbursement for pre-qualified individuals from designated disaster areas. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) created the ELA program to provide temporary shelter as a result of a federal disaster declaration.
Through this program, eligible participants will have their room charge, taxes, and pet fees covered. In addition, BLVD Hotels is offering a 25% discounted rate for wildfire victims who may not be eligible through ELA. BLVD Hotels is also providing essential amenities and support services to ensure the comfort and well-being of their guests.
"As a native Angeleno, my heart aches for those affected by the recent wildfires. The devastation to homes, businesses, and our beautiful natural landscape is profound,” added Kumar. “BLVD Hotels stands in solidarity with our community, offering shelter and support to those displaced. Our thoughts are with those who have lost everything, and we remain committed to helping our community recover and rebuild."
This is not the first time BLVD Hotels has stepped up and been called upon to assist Angelenos during a time of crisis. BLVD Hotels housed families who faced mandatory evacuations during the 2015 Aliso Canyon gas leak. In addition, BLVD Hotels was one of the first hotels in Los Angeles to reopen and welcome back visitors during the coronavirus pandemic after featuring its cold fogging disinfection technique as a public health safeguard.
