In keeping with this month's theme, “Journey Beneath the Ochre Vail” feels deeply personal. As an artist, my path to discovery is lonely—one where I must still myself to hear the whispers of the spirit guiding me: more pink, less blue, more white, add horizontal lines, and so much more.
This artwork is like a token of the heart, capturing a solitary figure riding through a vast, textured landscape beneath an ochre sky. The earth’s dry tones and vibrant hills carry a quiet strength, while the colorful bundles on the donkey symbolize our personal stories and burdens.
