While touring in an obscure electronica rock band during the age of MySpace, Lee Duck needed an intense light show to help set the band apart. Like a lot of other musicians, he was dissatisfied with the abundance of seemingly uninspired concert lighting that often lacked synchronization to the musical timing. Constrained by a smaller budget, Lee developed his own automated MIDI-based lighting syst

em. By using audio sequencing software to program lights to the music, he created an euphoric sensation of perfectly choreographed audio and visuals. Thus, Duck Lights was born. Over the course of the company’s history, the Duck Lights team has steadily grown into a small but effective community of tech-savvy lighting and music enthusiasts, who enjoy creating impressive yet affordable visual productions for touring music artists. Our focus on automation allows us to streamline the experience from conception to performance: designing, programming, and delivering remarkably intricate & synchronized shows from bars to arenas.
