This updated Mid-Century home offers all of the charm and class that makes Palm Springs so appealing. The property is centrally located in the infamous Movie Colony East neighborhood, which was established in the 1930s by Hollywood royalty, like Frank Sinatra, who bought homes here for getaways from their hectic showbiz lifestyle in Los Angeles. Set on a 10,000 square foot lot, the home boasts a d
rought-resistant front yard featuring decomposed granite hardscape, exotic cacti and native desert trees. But the best part awaits guests out back where you’ll find a south-facing paradise that features a large in-ground swimming pool & spa, multiple patios & lounge areas, fire pit & gas grill, and stunning mountain views. Don’t worry about privacy—the entire backyard is surrounded by a tall fence, mature olive and fruit trees, palms, and cacti. INSIDE THE HOUSE
The home features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Two bedrooms offer queen sized beds, while the master has a California King and French doors leading to the pool. Just down the hall is the open floor plan living room & dining area off the kitchen. There’s a large sofa, arm chair and plenty of extra seating, and wifi and a large flat screen TV with cable service. The dining area features a table for 6, but we’re willing to bet most guests will opt to dine al fresco just outside at the glass top table on the pergola-covered patio. The remodeled kitchen has everything you’ll need, including coffee maker, toaster, blender, and plenty of pots & pans, dishes & drinking glasses. Laundry facilities are conveniently located in the garage. Guests may park up to 4 cars in the driveway & 4 additional vehicles on the street. THE LOCATION
The home is one block from supermarkets, pharmacy & fast food places. You’re an easy stroll, bike ride or quick drive to downtown Palm Springs where you can hit the multitude of restaurants, bars & quaint shops on Palm Canyon, or try your luck at the popular Spa Resort Casino. There’s plenty to do—from hiking trails & home tours to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, an unforgettable 2.5 mile ride up the San Jacinto Mountains in the world’s largest rotating tram car. We hope you enjoy your stay at Casa Chia and leave Palm Springs with a lasting memory of a wonderful time and a desire to return year after year as so many do.
