Fall Color Adventure #4 | Bike Ride to Wild Country Maple Syrup

October 6, 2026 | We checked out the fall colors via bicycle today and rode a short 5.3 miles round trip from the Caribou Trail (there’s a parking lot for the North Country trail right where the gravel starts) to Wild Country Maple Syrup. The poplars are glowing with color as the maples are losing their leaves. This was a delicious adventure! 🍁 🍬 🥞

Fall color is starting to show off around Poplar River Condos! One of the best parts of fall on the North Shore is that the color comes in waves. The inland trees turn first, followed by the shoreline, giving us a longer season to enjoy.
And there’s still more to come!

A fall moment at Superior National at Lutsen ⛳️🍁 This beautiful course is just across the road from the condos and open through October 18. Enjoy the fall colors, views of Lake Superior, the Sawtooth Mountains, and the Poplar River! (Frequent wildlife spotting as well 🦊 🦌 🐻)

🍁 Fall Color Adventure #3 | Hike to White Sky Rock Overlook

September 27, 2026 | For this fall color adventure we chose the short but steep hike to White Sky Rock in Lutsen overlooking Caribou Lake. The view did not disappoint!

(Hikers note: As an add-on to this hike we recommend the out and back trek to Lake Agnes. The canopy of colors along the trail is stunning.)
