The Auxiliary to Lynchburg General

The Auxiliary to Lynchburg General The Auxiliary to Lynchburg General Hospital is made up of the Volunteers who assist the staff in many different areas of the hospital

Our Auxiliary was begun and incorporated in 1956 as a tax-exempt charitable organization. Our original organization was "Women's Auxiliary to Lynchburg General-Marshall Lodge Hospitals". The name was legally changed in 1985 to omit the word "women's" as the auxiliary by then had male auxilians. The name was changed again in 1989 to omit the words "Marshall Lodge" from the organization's title name

. We function as a complete volunteer organization governed by the officers who are elected annually. We currently have volunteers at Lynchburg General Hospital, the Pearson Cancer Center, the Dawson Inn, at PACE, the Gretna Medical Center, Stroobants' Cardiac Treament Center, and the Jamerson Y (rehab),
