Bear Creek Ski Patrol Bear Creek Ski Patrol severs as the official Emergency Response and Rescue for Bear Creek Resort

05/25/2026

This Memorial Day, we honor the service members who gave their lives for our country.

Across NSP, many members with military service bring specialized skills to their patrol work, including leadership under pressure, emergency response, risk assessment, teamwork, and decision-making in challenging environments. These skills strengthen patrol teams and support NSP’s mission in educating those dedicated to service in emergency care for outdoor environments.

We remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice and thank all who carry their legacy forward.

This National EMS Week, NSP recognizes the vital work of our Outdoor Emergency Care providers, EMTs, paramedics, and emergency medical professionals who deliver lifesaving care across the country.

These providers undertake rigorous training programs, which prepares them to assess injuries, provide emergency care, and respond effectively in challenging outdoor environments.

We extend a special thank you to the NSP patrollers who bring medical training, field experience, and calm decision-making to the mountain. Their work strengthens patrol teams and helps keep skiers, riders, and outdoor communities safe.

To all the EMS Providers, Ski Patrol, and Wilderness EMS Specialists, volunteer and career.

The Bear Creek EMS Program thanks you for your Dedication, Commitment, and Service.

This National Volunteer Week, we recognize the patrollers who give their time and expertise to serve others.

Across the country, NSP volunteers demonstrate an ongoing commitment to education—continually strengthening their skills in emergency care, mountain operations, and rescue response. That dedication to learning is what makes trusted, expert care on the mountain possible.

Your commitment to training and service supports safer outdoor experiences for every community we serve.

Tonight we held our annual Patrol and Mountain Host banquet.
Each year we choose a charity to donate to, this year we raised over $4000 for Eagles Autism Foundation.
We also would like to thank BCMR management for donating the banquet for our patrol and mountain hosts. #🦅

Shoutout to Mary Paige, who competed in the Eastern Division YAP event at Bromley Mountain March 13-15. Mary just completed her first year patrolling, joining the patrol with her father Alex. Mary is a senior at Allentown central catholic high school, Captain of the dance team this year, and part of the cast of their upcoming drama production of Frozen. She also completed the Bear creek EMT program last year and is a licensed EMT.

We accept Young Adult Patrollers (YAPS) starting at age 16. This is a great opportunity for families to patrol together.

If you have any questions message us here.

Sorry folks, ski season is closed, the Bear out front should have told you.

Well, we got 98 days in this year. Had an early start and never had to pause until this week.

It was our pleasure to serve you keeping the mountain safe and helping you when you needed us.

Thanks to mountain management, mountain operations, snow makers, groomers and lifties for all your dedication keeping the mountain in open and in top shape.

We are always looking for new patrollers. If you are interested, message us here. We start training around Labor Day.
