🍁 Fall Color Season is here in Northern Michigan! 🍂

Staying with Rent North this fall? Make a day of it and explore some of our favorite places around the area while the colors are at their best!

🍁 Deadman’s Hill Overlook – One of the best fall views around, overlooking the Jordan River Valley.

🥾 Jordan River Valley – Take a hike, enjoy the overlooks, and cruise the backroads through some beautiful hardwood country.

🍎 Local orchards & farm markets – Grab fresh apples, c***r, donuts, pumpkins, and other fall favorites.

🌲 Ga***rd & surrounding backroads – Sometimes the best color tour is simply taking the long way home through Northern Michigan.

🏘️ Downtown Boyne City – Shops, restaurants, Lake Charlevoix views, and a beautiful drive getting there.

🍂 Shanty Creek & Bellaire – Another great area for scenic drives, overlooks, restaurants, and a stop in downtown Bellaire.

🔥 Then head back to your Rent North cabin, warm up, relax, and enjoy a Northern Michigan fall evening.

If you’re coming up this October, don’t rush the drive — the trip through the colors is half the fun!

🏕️ Rent North Campground keeps growing!

It’s pretty cool seeing more campers lined up and enjoying the property. What started with just a few sites is slowly turning into the campground we pictured from the beginning.

We’re continuing to improve the existing sites and working toward adding more full-hookup sites for next season.

Quiet, private, surrounded by Northern Michigan woods, and close to everything the Ga***rd/Elmira area has to offer.

We appreciate everyone who has stayed with us so far — and we’re excited to see where we take it next! 🌲🚐

It’s not what you buy — it’s what you build.

Another update from Rent North! 🌲

We had a pile of old broken concrete to work with, and instead of hauling it away and buying everything new, we decided to put it to work.

Piece by piece, we laid it out and locked it together with stone to create a solid RV pad. It might not be the conventional way of doing it, but that’s kind of the point.

Making the most out of what we have, doing the work ourselves, and turning something that was headed for the scrap pile into something useful.

There’s still plenty more to come, but seeing an idea turn into something real never gets old.

It’s not what you start with. It’s what you build with it.

❤️ This one really hit home.

We’re always grateful for a 5-star review, but every once in a while, a guest says something that reminds us why we started doing this in the first place.

MJ recently stayed at Connie’s Little House, looking for a quiet place where she and her dog could unwind and enjoy nature.

What she found — and what she wrote about — meant a lot to our family.

Connie’s Little House isn’t just another rental to us. It has history. It has memories. We’ve tried to preserve Connie Snook’s story through her antiques, memorabilia, gardens, and all the little things that give the cabin its character.

Hearing a guest say that “the cabin itself felt like it belonged to my family” and that it had a warmth that made her smile really hit home.

That’s exactly what we hoped to create when we started Rent North.

A place where people can slow down. Get outside. Spend time with the people — and pets — they love. And maybe leave with a few memories of their own.

Thank you, MJ, for reminding us why we do what we do. ❤️🌲

Progress doesn’t happen overnight… it’s built one project at a time. 🌲🚜

Every season we’re investing back into our campground to make it an even better place to stay. Our newest landscaping improvements are starting to come together, adding more curb appeal while creating a cleaner, more welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

From full-hookup RV sites and spacious campsites to ongoing property upgrades, we’re committed to making this one of Northern Michigan’s best places to relax, explore, and make memories.

This is just one more step in the journey—and we’re far from done. We can’t wait to show you what’s coming next!

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway near Ga***rd, ORV trails, snowmobile trails, crystal-clear lakes, and everything Northern Michigan has to offer, we’d love to host you.
