Hug Point Recreation Site - Closure Update ⚠️

I've been getting quite a few questions about Hug Point, so I wanted to share the latest from my conversation with Oregon State Parks.

The park remains fully closed (with no estimated date for reopening). Crews are working through design, permitting, and reconstruction of the beach access following significant storm damage to the entrance.

REMINDER, please do not attempt to access the area by parking outside the park and walking in. The closure is in place for safety, and entering may result in citations or towing.

Arcadia Beach, Ecola State Park, and Oswald West State Park are great nearby alternatives in the meantime. Thank you! 🌊

Back in the pandemic haze, I seized the opportunity to wear this beautiful dress for an impromptu photo shoot with .

It was dark and cold but Brigitte showed up at the crack of dawn to do my hair & makeup.

It turned out so fun! We had the place all to ourselves. Laurie's creativity and vision always amazes me!

Ecola State Park is officially back open! 🤩

After some serious flooding damage, the road has been repaired and access reopened as of April 8.

Couples love the beautiful views, wooded trails, and the moody vibe of Indian Beach (where Twilight was filmed). It’s such a special spot for a ceremony, and it’s so good to have it back. 💕
