A child of the dark days of the Great Depression, Norma Catchings Lettieri discovered light and color in the natural world. As a girl accompanying her father to collect oysters, she first encountered another of the sea's natural treasures. So began her lifelong love affair with s

eashells, from spiky conch with centers as pink as a baby's open mouth to spiraling nautilus shells as complex as a twist of human DNA. She began using shells to craft exquisite shell boxes and mirrors over thirty-five years ago. Her inspired creations are one-of-a-kind works of art.
