🚢 Freighter watching is one of the simple pleasures of staying at The Riverhouse in Marine City.
With roughly 100–150 freighters and other commercial vessels moving throughout the Great Lakes on a typical shipping day, there’s always a chance to see something interesting on the St. Clair River.
Grab a coffee, walk across the street to one of the many riverside parks we have here in town, and watch these massive ships make their way through — it’s peaceful, relaxing, and surprisingly fascinating.
