wn to Playa Espadilla, fringed by crashing waves and swaying palms. The two-mile long beach curves straight into Manuel Antonio national park, with arrow-shaped 'Cathedral Point' as its centerpiece. The Pacific Ocean, broken by numerous rock islands, stretches into the distance in one direction, and to the other the rainforested Talamanca mountains crash into the sea. An electric gate and long, private drive leads to the famous Villa Vigia. The entrance is lined with sculpted gardens, blossoming bougainvillea, and exotic palms. A wrought-iron gate leads into the great room, with a 40-foot cupola, curving staircase and beautiful art. To the left is the indoor living area, and to the right the dining salon, walled with windows. Straight ahead a doorway leads to the gorgeous infinity pool, flanked one one side by a flowering lily-pond, and the other a shady 'rancho' and jacuzzi. There is even an outdoor, covered breakfast terrace, with a separate bathroom for pool use. Upstairs are two masters and a large guest bedroom. A secondary guest apartment is downstairs, complete with a kitchen and patio. Villa Vigia is the perfect combination of old world elegance and new world beauty!
