🌳 Trees can communicate with each other.🌲

Underground fungi connect the roots of trees and plants, creating networks that can share nutrients and warning signals.

Scientists even nicknamed it the “Wood Wide Web.” 🪾🛜

Turns out the forest has had better networking than some rural internet providers for years. 😂

Sunday Slowdown 🐌

Running a cabin means a lot of cleaning, laundry, mowing, fixing random things, and occasionally wondering why a squirrel is yelling at you from a tree.

But then a review like this comes in, and it reminds us exactly why we do it.

We’re incredibly grateful for every guest who chooses to spend their getaway with us. Thank you for helping turn this little cabin dream into something special.

🍵 Monday Evening Tea Time 🍵

Tonight’s tea is a little local history…

Before McCune had its current name, the original post office established in 1878 was called “Time.”

Honestly, I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’m always chasing Time. 😂

A year later, Isaac McCune platted the town and history took a different turn, but for a short while there was a place just up the road where you could literally say you were “going to Time.”
