Lately we have seen reports of Sargassum blanketing the Florida and Alabama coasts in the gulf.

If you can’t beat them, join them. What have you found to do with the sargassum on the beach?

This week it was the nesting site of a rare Kemps Ridley sea turtle. Those guests were so excited and I am so jealous to have not been there for this amazing spectacle.

We have a mailbox!

What’s the significance?
Here in Fort Morgan getting Amazon packages has been delegated to the postal service and not Amazon delivery. For the past two years if you ordered Amazon, the post office would not deliver it if you didn’t have a mailbox and was a certified customer of usps.

Now we have a mailbox and my Amazon showed up! I know some return guests that will be excited!

The absolute best times to see the sunset in Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan is winter. In the summer the sun sets behind the houses but in the winter you have the great view of the sun setting on the water.
